Observes Sam Altman, former CEO, OpenAI: “We are pausing new ChatGPT Plus sign-ups for a bit.
“The surge in usage post devday (November 6, when OpenAI rolled-out news of a substantial number of upgrades to ChatGPT) has exceeded our capacity.”
Fortunately, new users clamoring for a subscription can join a waitlist to be informed when new ChatGPT accounts are available again.
For OpenAI, it has to be a nice problem to have.
