Grammarly Adding AI Writing in April

AI-editing powerhouse Grammarly — one of the most popular editing tools in the world — is adding AI writing to its mix.

Dataconomy reports that beginning in April, ChatGPT will be integrated into Grammarly, enabling users to:

~Auto-rewrite their content to secure improvements in tone, clarity and length

~Spark new copy ideas

~Auto-write copy in the writing voice you prefer

~Use pre-configured prompts to trigger precise kinds of writing

~Train Grammarly to write in your own, personal writing style — or in a brand’s writing style

Given Grammarly’s already well-established reputation for extremely high-quality performance, there’s a good chance they’ll be able to pull-off this upcoming ChatGPT integration in style.

The AI writer offers an interesting twist on automated writing.

It enables a user to auto-generate just a bit of writing at a time — and then add an academic citation to each bit of writing they decide to keep for the essay they’re writing.

The tool also has a ‘Ted Talk to essay option,’ which creates essays from Ted Talk.

And it has a ‘YouTube to essay option,’ which auto-generates an essay from a YouTube video.

Packaging itself as an ‘academic curated search engine,’
Caktus AI also offers automated computer coding and an automated problem solver for science, math and business education questions.

It also has a geology tutor onboard.

Bottomline: Caktus AI is a sort of Swiss-Army-Knife for students looking to get the most from AI in their everyday studies.

*Microsoft Continues to Integrate AI and ChatGPT Tech Into Its Software: The Redmond-based tech titan — still most likely still giggling uncontrollably at how well its investment in ChatGPT worked out — continues to find more uses for ChatGPT and related tech in its product offerings.

Microsoft’s newest version of Dynamics 365 Copilot, for example, offers AI that helps automate data-gathering, analysis and email campaigns.

Other new AI-powered apps popping-up inside Microsoft products include AI-powered coding within its Power Platform and Power Virtual Agent — a tool for building AI-powered chatbots.

*Salesforce Gets An AI-Upgrade with ‘Einstein GPT:’ Look for a major integration of AI writing into Salesforce with its new Einstein GPT upgrade.

Specific features of the AI make-over:

~Enhanced responses to prompts

~Faster response time

~Knowledge of the world ingested from the Web and similar through mid-2022

*Key ChatGPT Prompts Offered for Killer SEO: Experienced users of ChatGPT have discovered that the ‘Prompt’ — the short command that you input into the software to trigger writing — is king.

And SearchEngineLand has put together its own list of Prompts that work well for search engine optimization.

Observes writer Tom Demmers: “I won’t pretend to know which SEO and digital marketing functions ChatGPT and AI software will and won’t replace.

“But becoming an expert at creating Prompts for these tools can already be a valuable skill — and will likely increase in value over time as the tools improve.”

*ChatGPT for Your Car? Yes, It’s a Thing: All things considered, it was probably only a matter of time before ChatGPT apps started popping-up in your ride.

Even so, in a move revealing how far-and-fast we’ve come, GM has announced it’s already working with Microsoft to explore ways to ChatGPT-optimize its vehicles.

Observes Scott Miller, vice president, GM: “ChatGPT is going to be in everything.”

*AI Big Picture: Noam Chomsky Discovers ChatGPT is Imperfect: Geez, I thought we already knew that.

In this essay, the world-famous linguist goes on to ridicule the wonder most feel when they encounter ChatGPT for the first time.

Meanwhile, many more people — including geniuses like Chomsky — continue to find ever more incredibly creative ways to use ChatGPT.

Granted, Chomsky is a famous intellect — and anything he says carries a great deal of weight.

But another famous intellect once said, “Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good.”

That perspective sounds more like a winner to me.
